The Package:
NDM has been contracted to remove and
restore all the original lead and slate. This includes the very
complex and beautiful decorative Lions Heads.
The Design:
As this is a restoration project
everything must go back to look as it was originally made. The main
challenge has been to use the work practices and methods of the 19th
century while maintaining the quality level expected of modern day
codes of practice.
Materials Used:
The original timber carcasses were in a
state of disrepair and have been restored with new timber where
necessary. The original lead was too fragile to be re-used and has
been replaced.
